Description
"Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town" is a song written
by Mel Tillis which was made famous by Kenny Rogers
and the First Edition in 1969.
"Ruby" was originally recorded in 1967 by Johnny Darrell,
who scored a number nine country hit with it that spring
. Waylon Jennings cut a version and had a minor hit the same year.
Other performers, including Roger Miller, Bobby Bare, Leonard Nimoy,
Cake, The Killers and Wolfsheim have recorded the song,
but no others have had a major hit with it.

Ah this reminds me of the day my surgeon broke it to me that all was downhill from there for me physically, and the tidbit of info that 50% of relationships where one becomes disabled end in a split because of it. Leonard Nemoy???

I remember when that song came out ... that was a bit after I joined the USAF in order to avoid the draft. LOL Very cool render. Looks like Ruby has places to go.

This is a beautiful dedication. And I have always loved Kennys music he was the first country concert I attended it was him and Crystal Gayle and he threw frisbees out to the crowd it was a fun day.. and was also funny to see quite a few Kenny look a likes at the concert. Nice work.
