BIO:
My RL name is Helen.
You will sometimes find my work listed under these names... "BluEcho", Faery_Light", and "Faery_Souls" please do not be confused by that.
I love to do almost any artwork or crafts. I used to knit, crochet, and do needlework but arthritis plays heck with that.
3d art is what I do most now due to Fibromyalgia and RA making it difficult to hold pencils or brushes.
My programs are Poser 11, Poser 12, and DZ Studio 4.16
I'm a writer as well and love to write horror or fantasy.

Hi Helen, your hair looks pretty good, but I think it might have been your lights that are causing the fuzz at the ends. Plus, I used a 50 frame animation for my wind force. If you haven't watched it yet, go to www.youtube.com/user/joebushido and watch Joe's videos on how to make it work. He takes a while to get to the point, but they're pretty good, especially the one where he talks about setting up the wind force. Here's how I did it: 1. On frame 1 - set up the V4 character, clothes, setting and lights. Add your face morphs, too. Then add the Dynamic Cloth Hair. Conform the hair to the V4 character. Here you can also add your wind force, but you should set the force to 0 for now. 2. On frame 5, add your body morph (especially if it's got large... attributes ^_^ ). Make this frame a key frame. 3. At frame 25 or 30, add your final pose. Make this a key frame. 4. At frame 40 or 45, set your wind force to 3 or 4. Make this a key frame, too. 5. In the cloth room, select the Medium hair prop and make a new simulation. Make sure to set the simulation to 50 frames. Then run your simulation. 6. Repeat the previous step for the Thick hair prop (yes, two different dynamic cloths!) This may sound like a lot of work, but not really. And if you do it a couple of times it gets simpler. Each cloth simulation took me about 10 minutes on my laptop, and goes faster if you set the display setting to wireframe. I hope this helps, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I've done another picture with the Dynamic Cloth hair that I'm posting tomorrow morning, and I hope it helps you out, too. Best of luck, and I'm confident that you'll be able to put this new tool to good use. Tom

Tom, thanks for this info. I did go to the U-tube site but even with my earphones to block any background noise, it's difficult. My hearing is just too bad. This really helps. :)

I thought I missed one of yours, was moving files and I thought I saw your name and new it must of been moved to a wrong file - she looks good, but the hair looks painted in - I know you know that, that's why you put the wip on it... I hope this hair plays well for you and you get it the way you would like.

Great pose and hair - maybe a little too much postwork blur for my taste, but a great image!

yeah.. I didn't notice that myself until after the product went live. The solution is to go to the material room and plug the image node with the transparency map into "specular value". Make sure you do that for both props as well. Looks great, by the way! ;)
