Description

-------- Garnish Island/Ilnacullin - Ireland. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Entrance to walled garden Ilnacullin, or sometimes Illaunacullin (derives from Oileán an Chulinn in Irish meaning 'island of holly') known locally as Garnish Island (properly Garinish Island or Garinis in Irish), is a very tranquil yet popular tourist attraction in Ireland, located in the small harbour of Glengarriff, County Cork which forms part of Bantry Bay. Ilnacullin is the name used by the National Parks and Monuments Service to differentiate it from Garinish Island in Co Kerry. The gardens are visited by thousands of people each year from all over the world and have been the subject of gardening programmes on television. --------- Thank you for viewing this image and for having rated/commendted on my previous uploads! Renderosity is good place to be around. Wishing you a good start of the week. Frieda

Une magnifique photo, pleine d'ambiance et des souvenirs aussi pour moi de mes visites de l'Irlande, du côté de Glengariff!

Not everyone (even photographers) have the ability to see things like this. Marvelous image.

I love this gate and the stonework but also the patterns in the leaves - that I would not have seen in color. Nicely done! Dana

Excellent image.! Thew B&W makes it so dramatic, like the way you framed it and your "moody" additions. I agree with danapommet, it is rich in patterns/textures.
