Description

The craft sped thru space at warp speed. As the crew prepared to be thrust into the next universe, they were astounded at the sight out the porthole. No one knew what it was; all the knew is they craved sour dough french bread and melted butter. The MRE's on hand simply wouldn't fit the bill. "Houston, we have a problem"!! Critical adjustments were made, carefully calculated. Slowly, their craft made a turn, headed back to earth. Other worlds could wait. For now they were headed for an emergency landing in San Francisco Bay. There waiting for them was that crustacean, that tasty creature that sped by them such a short time ago. They climbed out of the capsule, boarded a boat and were whisked to a restaurant on the bay. And finally, FOOD!! Space will always be there, but crab season is short. (footnote---this is, of course, is a crab shell I saw on the beach the other day. it wasn't a very good shot, so i played with it and the silly tale followed.)

I suspect something 'fishy' is going on down at Hubble HQ!

LOL! Brilliant! I love the postwork you've done, and in a way I am a bit hungry after seeing/reading this. I love that a space mission could be aborted simply because the crew wants to eat! What a story! What an image. I'm gonna be giggling a bit throughout the day at work tomorrow, I suppose, but that's a good thing. I love this shot too...what you've done with it is perfect. Hmmm...crab with butter...yeah, now you're talkin'.

Cute and creative! To see that in space probably would have scared even Captain Stubing, er, Picard back to Earth.

Love the image -- which no one can crab about -- and the accompanying tale, Marilyn, what a hoot! Great postwork.

Never silly - all stories are part of how we understand where we came from and help us understand where we are going. Dana
