Description

The last posting received more than one comment of how hard the Indian paintbrush was to see :~) Wish I knew how to insert the last image as a link for comparison ;( , but none the less here is a closer look. Mentioned in the last post that the central American Indians actually used this flower as it's name suggests, as a paintbrush. Other uses were hair wash that made the hair bright and shiny and full bodied. As a treatment for rheumatism and venereal diseases. It was also consumed like garlic would be for boosting the immune system. A more common use for this flower amongst the tribes was in fact as a condiment with their greens. The flower holds a sweet taste, but be warned only the flower can be consumed. The plants green parts are toxic, Selenium is absorbed into the plants tissue and concentrated. If someone could teach me how to do that last image as a link it would be very much appreciated. A sincere thanks to all that left their mark on my last post.

Cool shot, it is rather ironic that the flower is called indian paint brush, as the rocks look like they have been painted by a paint brush.
