Description

capturing these water drops, are probably the hardest macro work I have ever done. Setup ------ Spray can cap with 0.5mm hole, with sewing machine needle to regulate flow and drop size and held up with fishing line, over a flat dish full of water. All balanced on a board over the bathroom sink. Flash off camera set to 1.64th power, Camera set on Av (aperture priority) ISO - 100, with x1 extension tube and 200mm macro lens. All set on tripod. Its a very heath-robinson affair, but seems to be working well. More experimentation needed me thinks.

Wonderful photo. Great detail. It must have taken you some time to get this shot just right. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool with the perfect sphere and ripples from the previous drop! Lots of work, but you had fun setting this up. I know it.
