This age old truth I, to thee, impart: Act according to the dictates of your art. Find it whispering on the wind that comes from afar See it shimmering in the light of the farthest star. Trust in the dream that is ever coming true, Because that is the scheme which is best for You & the gleam in your eye most suitable too!
Turnings and demands of the day-to-day world have consumed all of my freely creative hours this week. I share with you, then, a work which has given me great pleasure for some time. This is a portrait of Naevia from my series on the characters surrounding Spartacus. A framed print of this portrait has been hanging near my writing desk for several weeks. Sometimes, particularly late in the night, I will glimpse her breathing through the corner of my eyes. On occasion I have been certain she whispered something but I was unable to quite make out the words. I hope you enjoy this offering in the manner it was intended, as a bridge across the recent distance between us. Dear friend; I also have had no time for art ... I have thought about returning to paint in oil and watercolor, and revise my subjects in 3D, including seeking new platforms and modeling study ... so much to do and so little time ...
