A strange day for the artist in the studio . Vitreous Detachment-anyone have this? For some reason yesterday when I turned my head I got a flash like in my periperal vision, and it was shaped like a C. I got really worried because every time I turned my head I got this all day today too. I went to the Opthamologist and he dilated my eyes and checked for retinal detachment and checked my optic nerve and both were ok. He said that I probably am starting to have a Vitreous Detachment which means that the stuff behind the eye is drying up some and pulling away from the eye edge. This is the first I've heard of this. He said that this comes with aging and that some people see a big flash when the Vitreous detaches completely but that mine is probably just starting to shrink and this flashing I see can last for up to years. It doesn't hurt but it's more distracting. Now that I know what it is I can try and forget that I have this. There's no treatment or way to put moisture back into the Vitreous. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this? The body which I have come into , will die as all other incarnations have. However This being has had the joy of creation.
