I hope you are not yet tired of my grasshoppers. I have a few more to share. Actually I have atleast 20 more very nice shots, but enough is enough. :-)

We have very nice weather today and the storm has finally stopped. It is rather cool, though and they promis more stormy weather later.

One of the things I like about grasshoppers and leafhoppers is their complicated mouth parts! This little lady has a very complicated mouth; it looks organic but also so mechanical! I love the details. We don't exactly have this breed in the USA and so it's quite interesting to see. We have leaf-hoppers that look almost similar, but they are usually longer and skinny. This is impressive, and I agree that one can never have too many grasshopper shots!

I had to come back and see this after seeing the gilded version! What a beauty and what intimidating mouth parts. Like Andrea, Chip, and Tara, I became fixated with her mouth and thought of Sci Fi aliens. Superb detail, color, and light! I love the leaf, which looks like a ribbon. Lovely shot!
