Description

people in the first of the 1900's know of computing. just a little diff that what we know of computing. Just think if some one told them of computing as is today the laugh at you and thought you reading too much Sci-Fi and Buck Rogers. Anyway this is a scale that is at the BBQ place . they not using it but the crackling they will sell you. Crackling is hog fat with a little piece of meat on it fried and then season. Not really good for you but is good. I might eat a little every now and then in winter time. Guess we all eat stuff not good for us. thanks for all comments and looking and votes too

Wonderful shot, I love to see old machines. Look what fine and lovely details they put into a simple machine. They took pride in their work. This is a wonderful example of fine craftsmanship.

This is a good example of how things change with time.I looked in an old dictionary and it defined a computer as a person that counts. An interesting look at things.

I love this old fashioned stuff...and a good bit of crackling too. This is so rich in color and detail, and yeah...retro-computer stuff is always incredibly fascinating. I love the fact that this is on display outside of a museum, and I'm sure it's probably in perfect working order...stuff in the EARLY 1900s was built to last, usually from entire ingots of really heavy metallic stuff too! This is a great shot!

Cool image of equipment I never even knew existed, Jock. Looks like a coffee dispenser in the foreground and a popcorn machine behind it.
