Description

This skate was found in Picher Oklahoma. Picher is a part of the Superfund site. Zinc and Lead were mined in the town for years. There are chat piles left over from the mining operations all over the town. The population of the town has now left and town is now considered a ghost town. I thought this old time skate was a fitting tribute to an old time town. Thanks for looking and as always comments are welcome.

It is amazing how many of these mining towns litterally poisened themselves to death. I particularly like the rusted wheels as it just sits out in the air.
