Description
Liz (zil2008) asked me to create a Rainbow Bridge picture for a website she is involved in for cats with asthma, www.felineasthma.org Look carefully and you will see also 2 little dogs I painted, with Liz's approval.
The site is so informative about the dreadful condition, and helps people to understand it and how they can help their cats. Many of the cats if treated early can live long and happy lives, and often die of other causes.
There is a special tribute page for those cats who have passed away. Being as the website is being updated at present it seemed a good time to add a pic of Rainbow Bridge, I considered it a great honour to be asked to create it.
I sincerely hope that all of us who have lost beloved pets will get some comfort from my picture. Liz's recently departed Mikey is layed near to the bridge as that is where Liz would like to see him, but this picture is for everyone who ever lost a pet she stressed to me.
This is how I see Rainbow Bridge and actually my own Mistapus has a serious heart condition that could take him at any time, so strangely enough I got some comfort from my own picture as I created it. I really do believe a place similar to the one I created does exist, and for all of us who have lost beloved pets will one day see them waiting patiently for us, but believing that while they wait they have all they need and are happy, is comforting don't you think?
Just like Liz and a few of my friends here on RR who have lost cats and dogs, also my best friend Barbara (jendellas) has sadly just lost her beloved cat Bernie.
It is always hard losing our dearest pets and I know how hard it has been for all of you. I hope that my little picture will bring you and us all some comfort too.

Liz took the photo of Mikey and I painted him, as I did also both the dogs, Mia in the foreground who is not with me now, and also one of her pups the little black and white puppy.
The background by me - painted grass and lots of other things using brushes, and I created other things using Photoshop Elements 8 and Photoshop CS4

Oh, yor really scared me there for a moment. Thankfully it wasn't one of your fur babies. This is certainly a magical piece that will be a great page for that site. I see you got Liz's gorgeous boy, Mikey in there waiting for her. Liz could not have asked for a better person to make a site for cats. Bravo and very well done my dear.

I can't read Rainbow Bridge, nor can I think about it too much. It breaks my heart - does not give me the intended comfort. But if I look at this, without the words, I find I am delighted at the beautiful place you have created here. Stellar work, bountiful beauty and amazing grace.

It warms ones heart to think of all our precious furbabies being take care of by this beautiful gentle angel while they play and wait for us to cross Rainbow Bridge with then where we can all spend eternity together. Jane, this is a marvelous view of Rainbow Bridge...and with PJ I do feel sadness. My sadness is mixed with joy of this scene of a personal sort I cannot explain. Yes, my faith in the Creator tells me there is not a limit to the space in eternity beyond this live..space enough for the creatures, certainly a special part of this creation on which we walk and live and intermingle. Sis, you are truly an Angel sent down from Heaven. This image and the beautiful thoughts your expressed to go with it were just what was needed to inspire me tonight. You've been working so hard on your book and on this lovely work of art, it seems you have so much to give to those in need. The time and the love you've poured into this work of art is staggering, and this is one of my favorite images of all time. Reading what Liz had to say made this even more powerful, and I'll be back to see what Barbara has to say also. In my heart I believe there is that Rainbow Bridge you spoke of, and only someone like yourself with such a caring soul would have such a clear vision of it.
