Description

Hi there. Let's say goodbye to the wasp spider. Here is a shot with a prey in the web, seems to be a grasshopper. Some days after this shot we visit the local open air pool and near the biggest pool I saw some boys looking in a small hedge and take some little branches to do something. As I went nearer I saw that they are bother a spider - a wasp spider (Seems to be the wasp-spider-summer *g*). I said they should not bother such a beautiful creature and tell them some facts about this spiders. My niece don't like spiders but as I show her this beautiful one she likes to take a closer look and were fascinated. I hunt an insect and drop it into the web and we were able to observe how the spider is hunting...she swings quickly on a rope made with her silk (more than one string I saw) and catches the insect and wrapped it after biting. Then she took place in the center of the web and began to exhaust the prey. Awesome scene - the children stand close to the hedge, captivated by the scene. Hope you all understand my story I told in my weird English *g*.

I have enjoyed this series SO much, Markus! Wonderful that you were able to educate those children, and now maybe you will have started a lifelong love of nature in them!
