Description

this is a preliminary 'sketch' using cherries I had painted and PSP. The cherries were added to a pre-painted (in oils) background and then I added different backdrops until I found one I liked, then I decided on the light direction and added that to the cherries. Merged layers and printed out the outline for my painting, which will be 22"x6" in oil. I find PS and PSP indespensible when composing still life, and often 'cut-out' components of a photograph and then conbine them later to get the painting I want paint...if anyone is interested I can post the progresion of "Grapes, Early Morning", it's available also on my Facebook pages
