Description
took this yesterday at a park.I think they are Muscovy Ducks (Cairina moschata) and are a native new world species originally established in South America, Central America and Mexico.
Over time, wild populations have migrated to South Texas and domestic populations have been introduced throughout the United States.
During winter many escaped domestic species can be seen floating on local ponds and lakes.
