He is every man who has to make a decision, one that will affect his future in ways he cannot fathom. He tries to focus his thoughts on the immediate future leaving the far future to deal with as time permits. Yes or no? Go ahead or step back?

'Were these jeans really worth all that dosh, when I could have bought an identical pair for $5 in Wallmart.' or 'I quite like the way the mulch I just laid on this path matches my hair.'

The morning air was chilly. Jobs thought a long walk through the autumn woods might help clear his mind. An hour later, the sun burned off all cool haze and clouds, then it turned Greenhouse hot. Jobs rolled up his shirt sleeves and checked his wallet. It was too thin. Jobs thought about the path he was on. It was clearly well kept by someone. Perhaps this is what he should be doing, taking care of the earth better. After all, the amazing photographers on Renderosity constantly reminded him how the beauty of Nature is disappearing in the name of (overpriced) development. Jobs decided to trade in his gas-guzzler. Because Jobs had been out of work for some time, he had not been able to afford one of the vanishing middle-class car breeds. Pontiac, Dodge and Mercury car factories were all closed down now, and no new models were available. GM still made Cadillacs and Chevies though. He probably needed something smaller and lighter. He began to hum the Alan Jackson tune, “Mercury 49.” It sure was getting hotter.

Oh for heaven's sakes, it's just me peering through my bifocals to determine if I was going to sink into the mud again like a little ways back on the trail. And we are in the Washington Park Aboretum in Seattle. And nothing is on my mind - I'm a guy.

LOL @ Trent! I was going to say "Look - it's a quarter! I'm rich.." That's what usually get me to look down like that - especially in parking lots... Great capture, Tara!

As Mark gazed down upon the path less trodden, he suddenly realized he had forgotten his belt and had to put his hands in his pants pockets to keep his jeans from falling down around his ankles. He certainly didn't want to moon that crazy woman that was following him with the camera, even if she was freaking him out. What was she up to? Was she a stalker, a murderer, or perhaps she was that famous lady on Renderosity that he had heard about. If so, perhaps she would take his picture, post it, and he would become famous, too.

First it ia beautiful capture!!! His story is: He is in deep sorrow, lost the love of his life and as a result lost his job, he is turning his back to the world he has known and starting a new life with too many thing to think about and with great burden of sorrow and sadness, the road is narrow and with no clear end but he still goes on and on. the road shows that what is coming is not easy as it is not a green wide path, but he doesn't care he has to go on, maybe at the end of this path he'll find cure for his sadness and wounded heart. He is still young and can start over but with the right helping hands to get over his pain. He looks handsome, he'll find the cure and soon ;)

He walks quietly, a folded catalpa leaf in each pocket. It's a comfort to walk in late summer air, stroking the green warmth and rough texture of leaves. He found it them morning, freshly fallen from the canopy above, and now, fingering one leaf in each pocket, counting their folds and letting his fingers taste the rough, vaguely fuzzy texture, he sings to himself: One day, or another, I'm gonna git' ya git' ya git' ya git' ya...One day, or another...I'm gonna..." There are ants along the path; and they're incredibly busy with excavations. Their mounds are diminutive, but he is sure that they go at least half a meter underground. It's odd that Blondie would pop into his mind at a moment like this, at a moment filled with industrious ants along the border of the path. It is fitting, however, that Deborah Harry would provide such incongruous mental company. Blondie is, after all, a big deal in the land of catalpa trees, and it seems that perhaps he isn't imagining the song at all, but that the ants are singing it as a kind of pace-setting work song. And so he walks, fingering a folded leaf in each pocket, while ants sing work-songs from 1980s radio. *** Okay, now that I've written that...whatever it is, I'm gonna have to go and find Blondie videos on YouTube. Blondie? Ants? Catalpa leaves? Oh well. This is a marvelous shot, and it's nicely moody, despite the unusual manner in which Deborah Harry was just yanked into the scene. I love this picture.
