A very nice start indeed, keep them coming. The direction of your lighting is spot on and the shadows are very good. Regarding light: A bit more yellow or orange in the light would be good to match the color of the sun, which improves realism. Also, a few very weak blue lights around the subject (in this case M4) can remarkably improve the realism. Regarding shadows: Use deep shadow masking for quicker test renders, but use raytraced for more realistic final renders. Keep practicing!
