And those cooters make great soup! :-) Or so I've heard. I stopped at a cooter restaurant when there but didn't have the strength to try it...stuck with the hamburger plate. :-) But then, I have an affection for turtles. Nice shot.

this past Saturday I seen the largest turtle outside of a zoo and it was in the tiny creek near my house.a conservative estimate would be 8 " wide and a foot long for the shell. the head was extended out at least 4 to 5 inches.I had both my dogs with me and no camera.I ran home with my dogs in tow and jumped in my car and drove back.unlucky for for me it was no where in sight.I did get a shot of two tracks it made in the mud for now on I will carry a point and shoot at least outstanding capture you made
