Description
Hi all - Well I've been at DragonCon for the past four days. DragonCon is a HUGE science fiction and fantasy convention here in Atlanta. Number of attendees range from 35,000 (as allowed by the fire marshall) to 70,000 (as what's probably closer to reality). Here's our experience:
We bought tickets in advance. We still had to wait 3 hours to get our tickets. The con is in five hotels in downtown Atlanta.
This year we were able to see a variety of guests from Eureko, Battlestar Gallactica, Warehouse 13, Star Trek, Heroes, and others. Some were awesome, some were not so awesome (the Stargate panel was really weird).
It was a really fun weekend - we walked and walked and walked and we got to see and do so many things. The only real negative was that we put the kids into Dragoncon daycare. We showed up 1 minute 'late' one night to pick up the kids and they gave us holy heck plus they charged us 15 dollars for that extra minute. That seemed a bit excessive for 1 minute especially when the con is spread out over 5 hotels and it takes a while to walk between buildings.
Otherwise, we had a blast, the weekend was beyond perfect, the guests were loads of fun for most of the panels and we bought tons of t-shirts and pictures and such. It was fun, fun, fun.
We've spent tonight shopping for groceries (we were out of everything), giving the kids baths, doing laundry and so forth. So much to do. so little time.
Tomorrow I am going to drive to South Carolina to visit with my mom for two days. So I'll be 'out of the loop'. So sorry for not being able to visit galleries but I promise I will do so once I'm back in town.

wonderful presentation and nice update on what was going on. they charge more for the minute than the Wh...house down the road muahahahaha. this is an insult doing such things for one minute. jeez i would be millionnaire already considering that in spain in 13 years nobody ever showed up on time hours and days late even just calculate the amount i could charege..
