my shadows are missing,not sure why

If you are using DAZ Studio and the UberEnvironment, your shadows may not be missing, just very soft. You can add a spot with raytracing and it will sharpen the shadows. Nicely posed characters!

The poses and the character's skins look great, the props are well set ! I don't know the outfit and I'm not sure for the textures .. There's a shine on the thigh of the left character, you can blur it with photoshop or by tunrning down the glossiness of the character's skin (skintorso, skinhead ..) with Daz, using the parameters tab ... Of course, the shadows and some lighting are missing, the whole scene (props, outfits, background, frame) is too white ... it misses a touch of colour somewhere ... I would have added something in the sky ... That is my view, I'm a beginner using Daz for 3 months only and I love dark scenes, so it worths what it worths ;-) lol, it's my longer comment ! And most important to say : it's a beautiful scene for a beginner, very encouraging !
