Description

why the spiders and scorpians have not started a revolution is beyond me. when you look at the Genre, there is no spot for arachnids, insect - yes but not spiders. as if anyone would dare call a spider or a scrpion an insect. Enought ranting today - I hope you had a great Tuesday Mike

Bugs works in general. Sure, lots are not insects and I will join the rant for 17 seconds. Fair enough? Nice photo. I like these bugs.

Maybe there should be a letter-writing campaign to get the staff to change the genre name to "Arthropods." And yeah... I wouldn't want to get into a debate with a scorpion.

Oh dear TomDart, bugs doesn't work either as that is a specific order of insects. Arachnids are a totally different class. I would go with a colloquial "insects and such" or how about Arthropods which I believe includes arachnids as well as insects. A good shot. Personally I like spiders and in my house you are in trouble if you kill one of my babies who hang out in my basement and keep down the fruitflies in my brewroom.

they don't call this spinnery for noth'n.... I've seen your last 3 images back to back... was having fun saying "they don't call this____ for noth'n, was really going through my commenting fast... I had to slow down... I just heard a dog hit by a car about a block from here - crying animals like that just have a way of telling you how fragile life is. cool pictures mike

Let me tell you about a rant...... Last time one of these little buggers put a web across my patio doorway, I walked straight into it. I ranted for half an hour! And you shoulda seen the dance I did getting it off me.... I'm not terribly squeamish when it comes to spiders, but I HAAAAAATE it when I walk into one of thier construction projects! Excellent photo of this guy, BTW! :-D

I've learned over time that most spiders are the good guys. They eat insects but the set of leggings on this one would make a dancer proud.
