there's something wonderfully off-kilter about this one. the light is almost sombre, but the warm yellow of the sunlight on the stone brightens it. the focal blur on the framing trees is unexpected. the slant to the wooden blind plays against the straight lines of the windows and the buildings. at first glance, this is a fairly standard photo of a building, but a second look reveals lots of almost playfully unique details.
