Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

That must be the 'bull in the pottery shop' I can see in the background!!! Lol. This is a nice shot of someones painstaking work.

LOL at Jeff! The makers of these would laugh if they knew how much trouble is taken to collect and restore them!

Absolutely awesome shot Helle! These pots would make a great mask! I love this, has such a wonderful 'old' feel to it. Just wanted to say hi and let you know I haven't forgotten you. Alex is sending me PSP8 or 9 so maybe that will help with you helping me. Will be awhile tho as there are mass problems with my pc right now:-( Have also a photo I am sending you. Hope all is well with you and yours!

They take on a great character when they are pieced back together. To think, how many were lost to grinding up to add to new clay. :) Excellent capture!

They look as if they have been in our earthquake but it is amazing that they are still here at all really. An excellent capture.

I adore old pot shards and the history they hold. Spectacular capture.

I love Andrea's perspective on this. I suppose the original artists would be mystified at the idea that we would collect the fragments and put them back together. If someone a thousand years from now got together the shards of something I'd made, I would feel like ... "Well, it's a shame that was ruined, but I'll just make another one. Stop fussing with that and throw it out!" LOL! Still ... this is fascinating, and I'm glad they're finding the bits and reassembling them!

It is fun to muse about the original potters of these pieces. Liking your series.

What a collection and what a shot! I love this kind of stuff because...well...because! I once had dreams of becoming an archaeologist and being one of those people who puts broken pots back together: a bit like a temporal detective, reconstructing the past from things like...pots and more pots, and a few pots, just to keep things interesting. I love this shot and a glimpse back into the distant, distant past. This is a really well done shot! Archaeological photography really needs to become a far more popular art form. This is superb.
