after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve
i enjoy working with poser, i have such a dinosaur version i use, (p6) wish i had poser 2012 at least. i also use photoshop 7 for most of my work i post here. but more so photography is my main passion, just hope to get a camera again someday.
Â
p.s. not sure how high of a res pic i'm using for this page. take care and thanks a million you all.

This is really beautiful work Steve! I really like the dark green tones! You have a real talent for putting lots of disparate elements together in an harmonious and beautiful scene! Great work, my friend!

by Dokken! From what I can see, the reflection looks fine. Wish mine turned out that well. Maybe someday...sigh.

Lovely work and one of my favorite Dokken songs! Really beautiful character and the reflections look fantastic. And even in my favorite colour! :-) I will be keeping you and your mother in my thoughts and prayers, Steve. Please try to keep us up to date on how she's doing. Blessings be to you both.

I'd have to say you're getting the crap in the reflection because of the marble texture... the candle reflection looks fine and then when the marble goes through the reflection it fights with it.... Picture looks like it's reflecting your mood... cigarettes to calm the nerves, Music to take you to somewhere soothing, darkness for the peace...You've always come across as a strong faith person - have faith, worrying never helped anyone.

You and your mom are in my prayers and thoughts, Steve! We are here for you! Wonderful image and great reflections

Nice work. Good luck this coming week and wishing you and your mom well.

I think mikeerson hit on it, the more texture or displacements in the reflection causes noise and the necessity of uping antialias to get rid of it, it's a big problem in MoJo, why Renders are so long in MoJo, have to run full AA all the time. Super work man, good luck to yuor mom next week Peace

Beautiful work, here, Steve. I think Marco put it perfectly about how you put all the elements together just right. Most Excellent, my friend! My prayers are with you and your mom during this time. I know wht you're going through - the C word has hit my family hard as well. Keep the faith, Brother! I sure don't consider myself a Poser expert by any means, but I seem to remember playing with the 'quality' dial in the reflection shader and getting that effect. I'll have to go back to my experients with reflections and play around a bit. But I think Mikeerson is on target with the marble texture.
