What a marvellous shot! Our Parks and Countryside team put a Barn Owl nest box up down near the river and it was used the same year!

Everyone who knows me, knows I am the barn owl's biggest fan. Just 5 years ago, they were everywhere in my area. This year, I have seen only a dozen or less. Even the one that lives near my house has started making infrequent hunting visits overhead. What a stellar shot this is. It really shows the beauty of this owl.
