Yes, today is my birthday! It's funny, you just go to bed at night 365 times and suddenly it's time for a birthday again. In this picture, I'm here metaphorically with two female friends. (I'm grateful for my independently focusing eyes.) They're giving me a gift of a bobblehead because they know how much I like things that jiggle.
Now, you might think it's pathetic, even tragic, that I'm wishing myself a happy birthday. Well... as you can see, I have the misfortune of being born on September 11. In the USA, in recent years, this is a day when many people are not in the best mood. I'm just trying to lighten things up a little.
That, and I could be thinking of a birthday as being one step closer to the grave. Instead, I'm choosing to have as much fun with it as I can. So there.

Your lighting is always spot on, and your stories ever appealing! As for your birthday, the reason it's HAPPY is because we've just gotten through 365 days ALIVE to the day we were born, now that's something to cheer about! Yaaaay! For your 365 trip around, AGAIN! Happy birthday, again! And even if a birthday marks you as a year older, not celebrating it would also mean you're a year older also. So you might as well get as much fun as possible out of they occasion. Or indeed, out of any occasion.
