Description

Kira didn't even make it halfway down the room before curiosity got the better of her, she walked over to one of the chamber and began wiping away the ice that had formed over the glass. It took a few minutes for the warmth of her hand to start melting the ice but soon she had cleared enough of a gap to see what was inside. 'Its not Drake.' the voice made Kira sharply turn round fists up ready to fight whoever it was, seeing Corbin she lowered her hands and relaxed. 'Your losing your touch sister.' he holstered his gun and they embraced each other in a tight hug. Kira suddenly had an over-whelming urge to crush his windpipe, she quickly pushed Corbin away from her. 'Your wanting to kill me, aren't you?' Kira looked at the floor, 'Don't worry about it, that's the demon blood in you, it gets worse before it leaves your system.' Kira looked up with a smile, 'i still can't believe that worked.' Corbin returned the smile, 'we've been using Drake's blood to bring soldiers back to from death for awhile with a 93% chance of working.' Kira soon dropped her smile, '93% chance! what if i was one of the 7% that didn't regenerate!?' 'Let's not dwell on what could've of happened the plan still needs completing.' Kira turned back to look at the Drake-clone, 'So whats the deal with all these? Drake isn't going to be happy about having dozens of copies of him walking around.' 'Kira,' Corbin put a hand on her shoulder gently, 'Drake isn't his name, it's what he is.' Kira looked at the hand on her shoulder then up at Corbin with a slightly confused frown. Corbin took away his hand with a sigh, 'Drake stands for, Demon Regenerating Artificially Kloned Embryo. He was one of hundreds created, but only he survived past his 1st birthday, so using his DNA they created more clones of him but they all seemed to die within weeks of been brought to life, when Drake found out what was going on he escaped and disappeared, until now.' Kira had to take a few seconds to process what was said, 'Where's Drake now?' 'He's been taken to the lab.' Corbin already knew waht Kira was going to say, 'Come on then.' .... thanks for looking and commenting if you do :)

Ok. I wait a few post to allow the story to progress before i read them... This was and excellent series of post! I thought Kira was dead and didnt know what to think of the Heroine being killed! Drakes blood brought her back? Too kool, But what is she? A female counterpart? well to a degree? Glad you are posting again!
