What do I do? Â I write and I love art. Â I love to read fantasy and science fiction, especially if there are dark creatures and lots of romance thrown in.Â
About 2 and a half years ago I started doing 3D art after a lifetime of fooling around with traditional media like pastel and pencil and watercolor. Â I love this medium - Poser and what can be done with it, and also mixing poser with digital painting. Â I enjoy painting skies and cloth and hair for the most part and adding magical effects in post work. Â
Now I'm learning how to model and texture, too and am finding it quite addicting to practice. Â I hope that I can become as at ease with that process as rendering.
I hope you enjoy my gallery! Delaney Anne Grant

Fantastic image and superb lighting! The sword is just fantastic! What set is this?
FaeMoon
It is Mort Augur from Daz. :) http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=10621 The skulls don't have that candle in it, though, that is a candle from the freebies here. I just positioned it and then put my own point lights in.

Absolutely fantastic work!

Actually, the sword is from QM blade pack, but I can't find the link. I overpainted the jewel though, changing it.

Bravo for the amazing lights, It's neat how you've added the lights on the candles and they're inside those skulls. That's something we don't see very often. Hats off!

Firstly, let me say this is a fine image. Putting the point lights on the candles really creates a realistic, and dramatic lighting set. Secondly the addition of the textured framing gives the image an additional polish. I encourage you to continue to explore both these additions. Point lighting does slow down renders because each light casts through a 360 degree sphere, a lot more area to cover. I just did a render with 7 point light candles and though the scene was not overly complicatd it took a very long time. I would suggest that you use a photoshop inner glow effect on the image itself to help set it off from its very dark frame. I will site mail you the link formula.
