I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

you never know Wally, meanwhile, a super shot, with or without Bill posing for you.

Very quaint! If this was in the states it would have been flattened for a high rise.

Lovely Wally. These are called half-timbered, right? Yes, in the USA most things old (but not all) had a way of making room for "progress"...The euphamistic term was "urban renewal". We woke up across the country in the early 1960s and now have all kinds of lists and registers for historic buildings and places.
