Description

I have to admit that January through August 1996 was my nationwide search for a retirement home. At this point I had it narrowed it down to three places. Orlando, Florida, Mill Valley, California and Sedona, Arizona. I had just completed a walk through this valley, looking at every house, and climbed up here to review what I had seen. It was a hazy day and the large rock formation in background, is the back side of Cathedral Rock, from my posting last night. Tonight we have raw desert and last night was Oak Creek overflowing into Red Rock State Park, with a backdrop of Cathedral Rock. Isn't it amazing how that single rock formation, dwarfs everything in the valley. And keep in mind that it is a couple of miles away. As most of you know, I ended up in Delray Beach, Florida. Photo taken in 1996 and recently scanned. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Lovely landscape and do you notice that the trees almost hide the fact that there is a town there in the valley!!

Wow, shades of the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind! Unbelievable DOF and clarity in this shot, Dana! I've been retired for years and still stuck in Southern California.
