Well, I really like paradoxes, so this one is just awesome: a lighthouse at the top of a mountain! Wonderful work on this!

I imagined the water in the foreground automatically and only noticed it wasn't there when you mentioned it. Gorgeous fantasy scene with a great mood. Beautiful.

A nice, strong, but not overpowering composition, James. Perhaps it is from an alternate timeline where airships, rather than heavier-than-air aeroplanes take to the skies. They would be slower than prop or jet aircraft, although they tended to be somewhat more ponderous in their manouvering, and certainly more at the mercy of the weather, especially strong winds. On the other hand, perhaps it is something like the towers in Science Fantasy writer, Edwin Zimmer Bradley's world - where there are beacons for the folk to aim for, havens safe from the menacing threat of ill wishers. Definitely a story or two in this evocative offering. Warm regards, as Glasgow needs sunglasses for an hour or two, John.
