Description

Hi all! This poem was inspired by a young woman of 21 in Germany who has leukemia and is in the final stages in her hospital bed. Her heart keeps stopping due to her high temperature. Yet all the way up to now she has tried to encourage and inspire others to live and love life. This is my dedication to her - Christina ---------------------------- This body, Eaten alive by itself I lie here waiting for the meal to be finished Though I still hope, Still pray That I can continue to bring hope to others. My life, though short, has been filled with much. Both bad and good Yet I try and let the best overshadow the strife. I want to shout out In anger At those who do not live life to the fullest Who dispise life and throw it carelessly away While people I know Wish for a few more pain free days I want to encourage those with cancer Have hope Be strong And always enjoy each precious moment Look out for those angels Those every day people Who gift a smile, a hug, some care. Treasure them Every one I know not when I leave, But when I go, know you were loved by me and that I felt loved by you.
