Still wandering around Boston and this is the at Board of Trade Building at 131 State Street. I’m guessing Mercury on the left and Poseidon on the right. Zomm and correct me if I guessed wrong. LOL@Dave! I always think that too; if they could make the curves for other letters why couldn't they do it for the "U" also? But it is a beautiful building and excellent shot.

wonderful image! They used the Ancient Roman font style. The same font the Romans used in their monuments i.e. the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and so on. Today this "Classical" font is used to inspire a sense of power and tradition.

Great snap of the ornate sculpture and architecture, Dana. I zoomed in and agree that is Mercury on the left, but I really don't know who that dude on the right is. Wouldn't Poseidon have a trident? And, yes, they did spell "Building" wrong. What an embarassment.
