A tribute to Paula (botai) who recently passed away.
She was one of the first people who made me feel at home on this site, may she RIP.

Thank you so much for this, Piet. She'd have loved it. Though her memory had waned considerably over the last year or so she always remembered her notes from you. She'd get all embarrassed when I'd chide her about her "online boyfriend", LOL! Of course I knew better, but I used to kid her about it and we had many laughs over the first bit of confusion. I know for quite a while she was searching her ebots every day for notification of a new image from you. She adored your up-close-and-personal shots of the African wildlife. Thanks for being a friend--to both of us. She was a super Mom all my life and I'll miss her always.

This is really quite breath-taking. Such a peacefulness due to the windmill not moving and the cool hues of the sky and clouds. This is the sort of scene you wish you could stare at forever. But, of course, the sun insists on rising or setting so you did right to capture it on "film". A very appropriate dedi for Paula.
