Description
A little something I entertained myself with during the lack of internet last night. As many of you may know, NYC had some tornadic activity yesterday. No biggies like the ones folks experience in the Midwest, but when one considers the population density (greater populations in Brooklyn and Queens than in some U.S. states) and that the occurrence of tornadoes in the Northeast are almost as rare as hen's teeth, makes it rather sensational. I live in Forest Hills, Queens and was in the direct line of the worst of it. Luckily I was home sick and didn't have to deal with the aftermath of trying to get home from Manhattan--just about every means of transport going east from Manhattan was at a standstill. It was really something. No warning, hit quickly and left just as fast. Within 90 seconds it was all over. Lots of trees completely destroyed, which saddens me terribly. A house can be rebuilt, but it took decades for the development of some of these magnificent trees that were lost. My favorite little park, MacDonald Park, which is right across the street from my apartment, was totally devastated.
Thank goodness, I didn't lose electricity (many did). So, I thought I would drag out something I had purchased many years ago, but never used. Settled on Sixus1 Tomb of the Ancients which is a perfect setting for those ghoulish themes for the upcoming Halloween season. Unfortunately it is no longer available for sale.
Thanks for dropping by and for any comments you may wish to leave. Have a lovely day/evening...

Nice to see you're in one piece. Last time a tornado wrecked havoc here I was dodging hailstones the size of golf balls. Once was enough!

Glad to hear you weren't hurt by this tornado....we have gotten really really high winds here in my hometown..power outages same as you.....heavy heavy rain and baseball size hail.......but they call the kind we get just strong severe thunderstorms....... Also glad you didn't lose electric power outages like they did across the street from you.......with no internet...phone or tv service how did they pass their evening........In the olden times before internet.....we would watch tv and not in color......had old time phone up on the wall only.......and cell phones were unheard of back then.......people today don't realize how lucky they got it.. a new video game just out...new computers, new cell phones that you carry with you and even voice mail where you don't miss a call anymore....forget my rambling just glad you made it through all the madness and the harrowing drive from Manhattan to your home.....So you have any animals...I hear they esp cats can sense things that happen before they do....sorta like a psychic....LOL Love the image sweetie.......and the details in this one....... Again...glad you are okay.....safe...and sound........ Awesome render Hugs Susan~

Perfect image for Halloween!!! Glad you were not caught in the tornado, but I am sorry for all the tree loss. We had a tornado in the next town a few years ago and the winds demolished our 100-year-old maples.

You did a wonderful job Barb. Perhaps this rising daemon was like the tornado. Very cool parrellels. Glad to hear you were not hurt and there wasn't too much in the form of casulties. Save your beloved trees - I'm sorry to hear about that.
