Description

Don't forget to look up once in a while. Sometimes there are really cool things to see. In this case I just liked the many greens of the canopy overhead as I hiked through the woods. It can be especially beneficial to look up at night. Once I saw a huge (I mean HUGE!) bright ring around the moon. I later learned this is caused by ice crystals high in the atmosphere refracting the moonlight, and isn't all that common. Another time I looked up at night and saw a huge fireball (meteor/meteorite) zipping across the sky. It was so bright it was a little bit scary, but very cool. Of course, looking up can always warn you of a piano about to fall on your head too. Wile E. Coyote could have saved himself a lot of headaches this way.
