Description
The past couple of days we've been at Rhythm Waters on Whidbey Island in Washington State. This is a wonderful piece of property (you can see what it looks like here in Bill's gallery).
We arrived on Thursday afternoon and will be here until Sunday afternoon.
Today (Saturday) three of our friends came to visit. One of them is a minister, and she did us the honor of marrying us. So ... it's official! We're well and truly married. Our friends have left for the mainland, and we're sitting here drinking some mighty fine 30-year-old homemade wine, surfing on Renderosity, enjoying each other's company.
It's only fitting, since this is where we met, and it's what we both love to do.
To those friends who already knew ... thank you so much for your support these past few months!

Congratulations!!! What lovely news! Beautiful image! Excellent light and reflections. I like the combination of angular shadows and curved ones. The curved shadow looks like a space ship.

(I was gonna say something like, "you're getting married???" Or "who to???" Or maybe, "Bill who???" But I decided to forego the bad jokes...) I am so happy for you two, and it's so nice you announced it this way, in your gallery where you two met & with this intimate image of light in the quiet shadow of an intimate room, and with a little of your famous glass reflection. (It has some beautiful styled glass btw, and beautiful metal framing (looks late 19th C or early 20th) and some beautiful patterns on the lamp paper itself.) An intimate, quiet image for an intimate quiet marriage; and I hope that sets the tone for your marriage---ie, intimate, gentle, filled with light & discovery & beauty, and always close & dear.
