Description
This might not be the last version of this image. I was saying on deviantART that I was having a problem with the composition and one of my favourite artists offered to look at it so I couldn't pass up on this and I may end up improving it if I can. But I didn't want to wait any longer to post something here in order to thank you all who voted for me for the AOM and for all the nice messages of encouragement and congratulations I received. Thank you very much, it means a lot to me and also all your support in the last 5 years :)
This image was inspired by the art of Michael Parkes who I just discovered and fell in love with :)

Dress and hat are Gothic Muse by LilFlame on synfulmindz. The skirt part was retextured with Paisly texture by parrotdolphin
The mermaid fin is from Water World by ilona
Hair, ribbon, glove (with paisly texture again) and background painted by me.
Pose started with one of Ilona's but redone by me. I had to repaint the left arm also because it really didn't work after I bent it like that so close to her body in Poser :)

Even at 40% of its size, I had to compress the image a lot to fit 512kb, so I hope the resolution is still good...

Michael Parks is outstanding and I own one of his prints. This fine image really does his work justice, but it also has your signature qualities to it as well. Congrats on Artist Of The Month. Well deserved!

there is a peace and quiet about this image...maybe due to palette or lack of drama, whatever the reason I enjoyed viewing it ...full size is beautiful and res in full is fine :)

Yes, so pleased that you won Artist of the Month. You certainly deserved it. As for this render, a very interesting mermaid. I would not call this one of your best works, but then, I suspect even your worst is probably better than some of our best. It is still a fine posting.

Marvelous work!!!

Brilliant! (And yes it does def remind me of Michael Parkes' work- I love his work too... you did a great job!) As always I just love the detail work and the lines are so lovely throughout. Great selection of textures and I love the subtlety of the background. Your posing work is again great as always- her hands are just beautiful and perfect! Hus! Laurie (late as always! sigh...)

That is spectacular... from just about every aspect, Louly. You can very easily christen this a finished work. It flows easily and magically into the imagination. Your detail work - and your painting skills - are masterful. Truly a very refined work of art.
