Description
Another science factual / fanciful tidbit from my imagination. The background is taken from a Hubble Telescope image of the giant binary star Eta Carina, which lies 7,000 – 8,000 light years distant from us. The two balloon-shaped lobes are expelled matter probably coming from its greatest outburst that was seen in 1843. This hypothetical view would be from a world several hundred light years distant from the dying star. In a million years or so, Eta Carinae will go supernova and become the brightest object in Earth skies, with the exception to our Sun. The gamma ray burst from the explosion could have a profound effect here on Earth.

Thanks for the heads up, Rich; got a space cleared under the kitchen table, pacifier and paper bag at hand. The background works well with the desaturated terrain.

Klasse Arbeit ! Ja ! Der Gammastrahlen Regen könnte hier auf der Erde verheehrende Folgen haben. Sie haben eine gute vorstellungskraft wie meine.
