Description
For those unfamiliar with Milton's "Masque Presented at Ludlow Castle," perhaps better known as "Comus," I highly recommend it--or any Milton, really. In this poetic drama, Comus, the son of the sorceress Circe and the god of revelry Bacchus (I changed his father to the rough-and-rowdy god Pan for the sake of my illustration), attempts to seduce the Lady of Ludlow Castle, who retorts to him with a harrowing defense of chastity, in spite of the fact that she was bound to her chair by Comus's enchantment.

Very nice. I have not read any Milton other than Paradise Lost, but I shall have to give this a try. Sounds quite interesting.
