Description

FE Talis varI Thankyou for your generous comments on my last pic. I have a major slug problem now it has rained. Going out for our walk at night is like an obstacle course - nasty horrible huge and slimy things of every hue. I'd have no hesitation in using salt but someone has told me that hedgehogs eat them. I always thought they lived on beetles and worms. Anybody got advice please?

Very good composition for this fractal. I will not exchange your place in the night! Take everything you can!

wonderful fractal with a great choice of colors ! using salt is a horrible way to kill them... they will disappear in less than a week when you do nothing !

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes!!!! Crumbled eggshells will do the trick. They need to be sprinkled very liberally and renewed often. You have my word on this one. Yes hedgehogs do eat them. You can also make and lay bait that won't hurt the hedgehogs. MIx up some bran with plaster of Paris. Any slug that devours this fiendish mixture will be sorrrrry... Next question? LOL And as for this image!!!!

Gorgeous image! it reminds me of an outdoor band stand i saw in winnipeg. As far as your slug problem goes egg shells does help and also serves as good compost, but i had good sucess with beer. here is a site that that discusses the problem http://www.squidoo.com/How-To-Get-Rid-Of-Slugs . I dont use chemicals for anything. the article also mentions coffee, i cant vouch for that but it sounds interesting.

Your fractal is outstanding, in color combination and in such a special design, Jenny! We also tried beer, but when it is raining you will not be lucky with that. So, you have to eat a lot of eggs then ;-) Cheers, dear!

A wonderful fractal with lovely colouring. Those slugs are a problem. I do a nighttime hunt for them but they are so slimy that digital control is not for the faint hearted. One of the disadvantages of getting rain I reckon.

From John- Beer on plates, placed strategically. Re the image: What a beauty! I love the dynamism and tension, and the red lend to the drama. Excellent!
