Undergoing inspection. Fix bayonets!
Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California.

Okay, enough with the flowers, paving and broken glass, I've been away from this for too long.
Among the troops are the previously shown and colorful Zouave soldiers.
Out of the nine events I've attended so far this year, this has to be the most exhilarating and satisfying, mainly because it offered everything as promised and much more; it was colorful, military, the crowd was relatively sparse and well behaved, I had carte blanche to stand and walk anywhere except during the battle, and it was close to home, i.e., eight miles, most of it freeway.

Now this is the sort of event I would love to attend Harry... so much to see and photograph but alas, I will have to wait but in the meantime, I can take pleasure from viewing your beautifully presented collage.
