My real name's Karl Henrik (I'll spare you the agony of having to pronounce my last name). I'm 53, Dane living in Dane-land/Denmark. I'm an engineer by profession and have worked with computers for 25-30 years. BIO I've worked with fractals using FE for 8 years, in earnest since around New Year 2004 when I gave in to a friend's urging and have made almost 2,000 pics since then. Some good, some bad, some very good, some terrible. I've picked what I feel are the best and posted them here... well, who am I to judge.. judge for yourself. I never considered myself a 'cultural' person but with fractals I get to combine computers and math, mixed with what I'm told is a good sense for colors. I usually do 'pure' fractals without much PP'ing (not counting down-sizing), but I keep my eyes open for good opportunities to apply some filter if it might improve the pictures. I mainly look for interesting shapes in fractals but I'm a sucker for interesting spirals and will pick up these 'bi-products' from the shape-hunt if they look interesting enough. I quit my job of 16 years in the computer dept. of a major Danish company recently, for the purpose of enjoying life and do what I want to do... for a change, help friends whenever I can, be lazy on the couch if that's all I care about. *grin* So now I do fractals - bought a wide format printer to be able to reproduce on paper what I create on the screen... I even sold a few pics - and I build and repair computers for myself and others, do some networking too... generally speaking I'm a sorta problem-buster. I've picked up digital photographing at another friend's urging (some pushy friends, huh?) - did a lot of photographing years back - and have a plan to try and build digital photos of stuff into fractal images (or vice versa). For now I make animal shots and some transfer onto T-shirts... well, whatever i feel like and what people want me to do. My interests are... well, computers & fractals/graphics, photographing, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Astronomy, friends/people, good movies and rock music. Envious? I wish more people could do the same - do what they really want to do with their lives. Life's just too short for boring jobs and bad management.... Well, that's who I am. Feel free to write me and ask away.
