Description

The name of this rose is Forget-Me-Not it was released by the Alzheimers Association in Australia in 2008. This started my travels as an amateur photographer( which is how I class myself today) after I purchased three of these roses in memory of my Mum. I really am looking for honest critisism so that I can improve my photographs. I take most of my photos of flowers mainly roses. Thank you for looking

Well, you're talking to another photographer who does a lot of roses (and other flowers). Roses are what I started learning with. This is beautiful. The pov is strong for capturing the form. The lighting accents the folds of the petals. The size is a problem because its about 1/5th good viewing size IMO. Try uploading something closer to 1024 x 768 pixels. That opens the rose so it can be appreciated for the beauty it has and the talent you have for making it even more beautiful.

mine uploads ia around 1800x what ever. but i got a 12 to 20% cut on the image. on the web is will not matter too much. people like to see big if they open up. i use paint shop pro X but there is many programs that will give you the big size and cut the per cent saved off and still loooks good on the web.

Welcome to Renderosity, your straight on POV is nice for detail inside the rose as well as the outer pedals, nice contrast with the color of the leaves and the darker color of the buds to the right. The lighting highlights the edges of the pedals adding eye appeal. Your size of this shot is OK but I would try to keep them as MrsLubner says around 1024X768 a good size for viewing @ 512KP or lower. Thanks for choosing Renderosity I believe you'll enjoy your time on rendo. a lot of nice people here! Your off to a great start, enjoy!
