Description
It's once again Pokeberry season in my yard. These guys are super stainy (I had purple stains on my legs that no shower could remove for weeks many moons ago from just trying to cut one down. I now just let them be and found this interesting description on Google. As much as I love legal and non-legal medicinal herbs I prefer mine not to be poisonous:)
"Sometimes shortened to: poke , Also called: inkberry a tall North American plant, Phytolacca americana, that has small white flowers, juicy purple berries, and a poisonous purple root used medicinally: family Phytolaccaceae" .... Google

Nice shot. These are nasty berries. When the birds carry them and drop em' on your car it's tough to wash off. Especially if it's white.

Such a gorgeous contrast between the purple and the green colour, and such a pity that they are poisonous... when I started school, my teacher suggested to me once, to use 'green& purple' instead of the regular 'blue & red' - and I did - and never to be forgotten... lovely image, Cynthia BB
