Description

Peggysue knew the rules, she was suppose to be home before midnight, and never go through the patch during Halloween night. She had heard this before while growing up with her mom and her grandmother. As a child she was scared to death of what evil might be lurking at Halloween night, waiting to devour some innocent child. Halloween had always come and gone and nothing had ever happened in the small community of Hallogrove. As Peggysue got older she felt that this was her grandmothers way of disciplining her if she got out of line. To the patch i will send you granny would say...to think of such thoughts made her laugh. Peggysue hurried her steps trying to get home, "i am going to be so grounded " she thought. She had spent the night with Jeremy at his house playing music and watching movies, even though she and Jeremy didnt watch much while kissing. Time had gone so fast that before she knew it, midnight had come. Peggysue knew if she ever wanted to get home any earlier she would have to go through the patch at midnight. Peering into the patch Peggysue noticed how truly dark it was, only a speck of light at the other end of the field guided her to her grandma house. If granny saw me for this she would skin me alive Peggysue thought as she stepped into the darkness. There was a stillness in the air as Peggysue walked. She could only hear the sound of her feet as she stepped on some leftover stalk, ever step taking her closer to home. Peggysue noticed as she got closer a dark figure which seem to stand on a post, which almost made her heart skip a beat. Standing still she called out who's that..her only reply was silence. Scolding herself she went forward and noticed the figure, it was a scarecrow. This was the scarecrow her uncle had placed a day ago to help against the magpies..a pumpkin as a head lite with a candle, and a burlap body with old mans pants. Peggysue laughed at how frightened she had almost gotten over this silly ol thing. Stupid scarecrow she called out, and walked away. As Peggysue walked ever near to home, a strange thing began to puzzle her..she had remember when her uncle had place the scarecrow up...but remember it not having a pumpkin head but a strawmans face instead...a chill crept up her spine as she heard a noise from behind her.. Turning ever so slow to see what made the noise she was confronted by and evil visage...a final thought entered Peggysue mind...perhaps you should of listened to your elders on Halloween night....

What possesses a person to walk through a corn field late at night scantly clad knowing from watching horror movies that this could happen deserves a Kick Ass looking pumpkin character to scare the living (censored) out of them...or worse...Man I dig art like this...Way Cool! -Will-
