Kinda reminds me of Monty Python...the dads trying to get the Guards to STAY in the room to watch over his son and they keep "attempting" to leave....lol They were always facing the wrong direction etc...OK sorry...Never mind that comment...LOL Awesome job with your poses and lighting here...real well done!

I think they are guardians of the light and the sun she wants for her ;-) lol, Autumn is here, in France and the sun is hidding so I miss it ... Fantastic render and idea Ian, I really love that character on the left ... :-)

I really like your use of variable light and pov in this image. Having her looking directly at the viewer as the guardians look away is also a nice compositional effect!
