Description

Hello friends, The original photo I've taken in the early morning light, as you can see. This is the, still unripe, fruit. Because we are not sure of this berry species, are standing below: Left side the purple flower. Middle one the fruit. And a branch of the bush on the right, which is about 1.50 meters high. Does anyone know if you can eat these fruits? We couldn't find anything about this purple species. (there was only info, about them with yellow flowers), maybe someone knows more? !!!----(THANKS TO Andrea we got the right name of this plant)----!!! This bush came suddenly one year ago in our garden. This year they have increased. Thank you very much for your time, your comments, fave's, and everything else. ;) Dear Karel, thanks for your help, in placing the small pictures below. On my own, it was not succeeded so perfectly ♥

I really don't know what you have here. It reminds me of what we call a tomatotillo (spelled something like that, :0). The gooseberries I have seen are a spring fruit. But what do I know. You have taken a shot that I envy---glorious light and beautiful color. I am filled with wonder!

Nicandra physalodes. have a 'Google', lots of information online. Be careful, don't be tempted to eat those fruits, they can cause tummy upsets! It has become a nuisance on the allotments up the road, but it's very beautiful.

If anything, I'd find an expert around town and either take them a sample of this or see if they would come out to identify it for you Great capture though

Wonderful capture! If you've never seen this fruit in the stores anywhere, you might want to think twice before you try it. ;)

Beautiful capture. Ideal lighting and focus. I would hesitate before eating this, it might be fine but if it isnt then you could get very sick. As a rule i dont tend to eat anything i can't pronounce :-)

I am glad Andrea helped you correctly identify this plant. No don't eat it.. and look out could be invasive. This is a great collage of photos!!! :) A unique plant.

Very interesting and complicated looking plant. Beautifully presented but I have no idea what in the world it could be. He obviously likes you since he's just moved in to your garden and is bringing the rest of his family too. Lol. Wonderful shot.
