Greetings to all...
Well I know this is unusual for some to see me post something like this but I promised a few people I would get off my butt and venture out and take some pictures of my flower garden (which is dedicated to my mom) before the up coming frost we are suppose to get towards the weekend ends the growing season here in Wisconsin.When I was little growing up I used to spend every extra moment I had along side my mom while she slaved through the process of first spring planting to fall harvest.I developed a green thumb and found that the colors and fragrance they gave off where worth all the trouble.When my mom passed away in January 2000 I promised her I would keep the tradition alive and make her proud that with all her teaching and patience she didn't waste her time showing me how to create a flower garden.The flowers posted above are her favorites she planted every year as they also have benefits other than they smell nice and look pretty..From marigolds keeping certain insects away to morning glories attracting humming birds to moon flowers smelling like peanut butter and so on..Out of all the flowers her most favorite of all is mums which of course I positioned in the center of the scene above.I do my best every year to keep the tradition alive knowing she is looking down and smiling and of course must have a deal with mother nature as this year with all the rain we got I ended up with a bumper crop and will be spending quite a bit of time after the frost collecting seeds for next years garden.I hope you like the flower collage and just wanted to share with all of you and let you know I do have other hobbies that keep me busy as well...So until we meet again...have a nice day and pleasant tomorrow and as always ....Happy Rendering!!
I apologize for not knowing much about cameras and only know that the camera I used to take the pictures was a Sony Cybershot 3.3 Mega Pixel.
I've had the camera for a couple of years and still only know how to point and shoot...lol..sorry...

This is beautiful, and such a sweet thing to do for your mom to honor her memory, it reminds me so much of my dad, he also had a green thumb and love for all types of plants and flowers and took such pride in them, he would even plant red, white and blue flowers each year near the 4th of July for my birthday, after I moved to Tennessee he came to visit and saw we had sweet peas growing so he took some seeds from them, and said I am goina to have some Tennessee sweat peas in California so after they grew he took some of those seeds and sent them to me and now I plant them each year with the seeds of seeds he sent me. I never quite got a green thumb like him but I do try and love to try. I love planting things from seeds and waiting for them to grow its truly amazing to see what can come from those tiny little seeds.. Lovely work sorry didn't mean to go on so much but you brought up so many memories of my dad who I lost a year and a half ago. Thank you.
