Description

This is a view of the Pulteney Bridge, designed by Robert Adam and completed in 1773. The bridge has shops at both sides in its full lenght. It crosses the River Avon, which is not the same river where Shakespeare's town lies. Actually, avon is an old English word for river and there are even more Avon Rivers in England.
